These Terms & Conditions govern your use of this website and your participation in any open calls, events, or programmes administered by Old Ennistymon Heritage Ltd (trading as The Courthouse Gallery & Studios). By using our website or submitting work for exhibition, you agree to the terms outlined below.
1. General Website Terms
1.1 Use of the Website
This website is provided for the purpose of sharing information about our exhibitions, events, and opportunities, and for facilitating submissions. Users must not interfere with the security, functionality, or availability of this site, or use it for any unlawful or disruptive purpose.
1.2 Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including text, images, design, and branding — is the property of Old Ennistymon Heritage Ltd or used with permission. No content may be copied, reproduced, or redistributed without prior written consent.

This website may contain links to third-party websites. These are provided for reference only. We are not responsible for the content, practices, or privacy policies of external websites.

2. Summer Open Call 2025 – Terms of Entry
2.1 Submission Fee
- A non-refundable submission fee of €10 per artwork applies.
- Each artist may submit up to three artworks.
- This year’s fee has been reduced from €15 to €10 to support greater accessibility.
2.2 Eligibility
- Open to artists aged 18 and over.
- All visual art forms are welcome.
- We particularly encourage submissions from recent graduates, emerging artists, and those from underrepresented communities.
2.3 Submission Format & Requirements
- Each submission must include one JPEG image per artwork.
- File naming format: Title_ArtistName_Dimensions_Medium_Price.jpeg
- Optional: a PDF artist bio, named: Bio_ArtistName.pdf
- Files that are incorrectly named or incomplete may not be considered.
- Payment must be completed before submitting your materials.
2.4 Selection Process
- Submissions will be reviewed by a curatorial panel or independent selector appointed by Old Ennistymon Heritage Ltd.
- Selection will consider the artistic quality, clarity of presentation, and the overall diversity and balance of the exhibition.
- All decisions are final. No feedback will be provided on unsuccessful submissions.
2.5 Return Shipping Fee (for Selected Artists)
- Selected artists will be required to pay a €20 return shipping fee.
- This fee is fully refundable if the artwork is collected within 7 days after the exhibition closes.
- Works not collected by August 15, 2025 may be removed from storage and will not be eligible for refund.
- This policy supports our limited storage space and small team in safely managing artworks.
2.6 Delivery & Labeling
- Accepted works must be delivered during designated dates (provided via email).
- Artists will be provided with a label template that must be:
- Affixed to the back of the artwork, and
- Attached to the outside of the delivery package.
- Artworks must be securely packaged. Artists are responsible for all shipping arrangements and costs.
2.7 Sales & Commission
- All exhibited works are assumed to be available for sale unless otherwise stated.
- The gallery retains a 25% commission on sales.
- Submitted prices must include this commission.
2.8 Insurance & Liability
While we take every possible care with artworks during handling, display, and storage, Old Ennistymon Heritage Ltd (trading as Courthouse Gallery & Studios) cannot accept responsibility for loss, damage, or theft of works at any stage of the submission, transport, or exhibition process.
Artists are strongly encouraged to arrange appropriate insurance for their artworks, particularly for high-value, fragile, or irreplaceable pieces. All works are submitted entirely at the artist’s own risk.
2.9 Use of Submitted Materials
By submitting, you grant the gallery permission to use your images and texts for:
- Promotion of the exhibition (including print, digital, and social media)
- Documentation, press, and public engagement
You retain full copyright of your work.

3. Amendments
