"Helmet, sliotar and a plane" Daniel Parkhill
Oil on linen, 30 x 40cm
Daniel Parkhill is an emerging painter recognized for his mastery of traditional egg tempera technique at a young age. Currently a fine art student, Parkhill gained early acclaim when his still-life “Onions” was selected for the 194th Royal Hibernian Academy Annual Exhibition in 2024. His work exhibits a classical attention to detail and composition – from preparing true gesso panels to building luminous layers of tempera – resulting in intimate paintings that bely his years. Parkhill’s dedication to craft and patience reflects a revival of Old Master methods among Ireland’s new generation of artists.
