"Inagh Valley, Connemara" Krisztina Rozanich
Encaustic, metal and aluminium on wood, 26 x 26 cm
Krisztina “Gosia” Rozanich is a visual artist of Venezuelan–Hungarian origin who has made her home in rural Ireland (Thomastown, Co. Kilkenny). Trained in Fine Art Painting and Sculpture at Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology (GMIT), Rozanich is also a shepherd and sheepdog trainer – a unique dual life that profoundly influences her art. She creates expressionistic landscape paintings infused with emotion and imagination, as well as finely observed animal portraits (often of dogs and farm life) that reflect her deep connection to nature. Rozanich’s art and life intertwine, with her work supported by residencies and exhibitions that emphasize art’s therapeutic power and our bond with the land.
