Anthony “Tony” Gunning is a prominent Irish landscape painter currently based in Bray, Co. Wicklow. A professional artist since 2000, he achieved early success with a sold-out debut solo show in Dublin in 2002 and has gone on to present over fourteen solo exhibitions across Ireland. Gunning’s work ranges from social-realist cityscapes to scenic Irish vistas, often characterized by vivid azure skies, high-contrast light, and playful, irregular perspectives. He has shown in prestigious group exhibitions including the Royal Hibernian Academy (Dublin), Royal Ulster Academy (Belfast), and even London’s Royal Academy. Whether painting the lakes of Killarney or the streets of Dublin, Gunning brings a signature vibrancy and optimism to his compositions.
