Finbarr Dillon (b. 1962) is a Lisdoonvarna-based sound designer and composer whose work spans electroacoustic and acousmatic sound art. Originally trained in electronic engineering, Dillon later earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Music & Media Technologies at Trinity College Dublin and a Masters in Music Technology from the University of Limerick. He creates “fixed media” sound collages that blend technical precision with artistic exploration, reflecting his scientific background and interest in ambient environmental soundscapes.
