Maggie Madden (b. 1976) is an Irish sculptor from Connemara, Co. Galway, now based in Dublin. A graduate of Limerick School of Art & Design (BFA, 1998) and NCAD (MFA, 2006), Madden transforms everyday materials – telephone wire, optical fiber, found plastics – into delicate, geometric installations. Her fragile linear sculptures, often suggestive of architectural structures and urban networks, have been showcased in major exhibitions such as the RHA Annual (Dublin) and the RUA (Belfast). Madden is a multiple Arts Council bursary recipient and her work invites viewers to reflect on the tension between urban infrastructure and natural space.
