"Whose lake is this? (2)" Stephanie McLaughlin
Mixed media on Fabriano paper, framed, glazed, 37 x 48cm
Stephanie McLaughlin is a visual artist based in the west of Ireland (Co. Galway). She is best known for her semi-abstract landscape paintings, which capture the atmosphere and “essence” of places that inspire her. McLaughlin’s work distills elements of the Irish landscape – rugged coastlines, moody skies, and tranquil bogs – into compositions that balance representation and abstraction. Using expressive brushwork and a rich color palette, she conveys a strong sense of mood and memory tied to the land. McLaughlin exhibits regionally and online, and her paintings have been featured in innovation spaces and art fairs as examples of contemporary Irish landscape art.
